Australian Government Offers Scholarships

1 - Australian Government Scholarships

Endeavour Awards

Australian Scholarships

Challenge YourselfThe Endeavour Awards is the Australian government’s internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship program providing opportunities to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia.

The Endeavour Awards aim to:

  • Develop ongoing education, research and professional linkages between individuals, organisations and countries.
  • Provide opportunities for high achieving individuals to increase their skills and enhance their global awareness.
  • Contribute to Australia’s position as a high quality education and training provider and leader in research and innovation.
  • Increase the productivity of Australians through an international study, research or professional development experience

There are four scholarship programs which are being offered for year 2011.

Endeavour Postgraduate and Postdoctoral Awards

Endeavour postgraduate and postdoctoral awards provide individuals with a unique opportunity to take the next step in their academic career.

Endeavour Research Fellowships

Endeavour Research Fellowships provide financial support for postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows to undertake short-term research (4-6 months), in any field of study, in Australia.

Endeavour Vocational Education and Training Awards

Explore the Possibilities

Vocational education and training provides work-related knowledge and skills for careers in practical, traditionally non-academic occupations.  The courses undertaken as part of the Award should directly relate to the trade, occupation or ‘vocation’ in which you participate. These courses exclude degree and higher level programs normally delivered by universities.  Vocational education and training enhances employability by developing expertise in a specific field and equips learners with skills for a lifelong career.

Endeavour Executive Awards

Give yourself an opportunity to develop and grow to achieve your full potential

Endeavour Executive Awards provide you with a unique opportunity to take the next step in your career.  Valued at up to A$20,000, this Award provides you with the flexibility to design a program that advances both your professional and personal goals. In consultation with your host organisation, the one to four month program may include activities such as a work placement, attendance at a conference, and participation in a short course or peer-to-peer learning.

These awards will open from 5 April 2010 to 31 July 2010.
